Our company also can provide heat treating services in the form of annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering as well as ADI heat treatment.Additionaly, machining and other secondary finishing operations may be provided to customers as required.
The types of ordinary heat treatment of steel are annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering.
Annealing is a treatment process of steel by heating to a predetermined temperature, holding for a certain time, and then cooling slowly to room temperature (normally together with the furnace), so that the equilibrium microstructure is obtained.
Normalizing is a treatment process of steel by heating to 30-50℃ above temperature level of hypoeutectoid steel or eutectoid and hyper-eutectoid steel, holding for a suitable time and then cooling in still air.
Quenching is a treatment process of steel by heating to 30-50℃ above temperature level of hypoeutectoid steel or Ac1, it is then rapidly cooled in cooling agent after holding.
Tempering is a treatment process of steel by reheating the quenched components to a temperature below Ac1, after appropriate holding time, and then cooling to room temperature.
